Transportation to McKinley

You can use the Washington DC Metro rideguide to determine how to get from your location to McKinley Technology High School at 151 T Street NE.

Metro rail: The Red Line is the closest metro line.

1) The new Metro stop at NY Avenue and Florida is now open. Exit onto Florida Avenue Walk and walk one block west (the left as exiting) on Florida, two blocks north on Eckington and enter the McKinley campus from the R Street back entrance.

2) The Rhode Island Ave Station is approximately 0.75 miles from McKinley. The P6 bus runs from the Rhode Island Station to McKinley.

3) The Union Station stop is approximately 1.0 miles from McKinley. The 80 bus is located 1 block west of Union Station on North Capitol Street and goes to T Street. This stop is two blocks from McKinley. Walk east after exiting the bus.

Metro bus: The bus lines that run to within 0.5 miles of McKinley are the P6, 80, G8, 90, 92, 93, and X3.

1) P6 bus stop at NE 2nd and T Street. (Right at the school!) Walk 1 block W to the entrance.

2) P6 bus stop at NE Eckington and R St. (Right at the back entrance to the school!) Walk up stairs into the south entrance.

3) 80 bus stop at North Capitol and T Street. Walk 0.25 miles E to McKinley.

4) G8 bus stop at NE Rhode Island Ave & NE Lincoln Rd. Then walk 0.3 miles SE to McKinley.

5) G8 bus stop at NW Rhode Island Ave & North Capitol St. Then walk 0.3 miles E to McKinley.

6) 90/92/93/X3 bus stop at NW Florida Ave & North Capitol St. Then walk 0.5 miles NE to McKinley.
